MARBLELIFE® Groutmasters Tile and Grout Cleaning
Deep tile and grout cleaning that restores color, removes buildup, and makes surfaces easier to maintain in Pittsburgh homes and businesses
MARBLELIFE® Groutmasters tile and grout cleaning in Pittsburgh is designed to revive grout lines and tile surfaces that no longer respond to mopping or everyday cleaners. Over time, porous grout can absorb oils, spills, and soil that settle below the surface, leaving floors looking dark, dull, or uneven even after routine cleaning. Our trained technicians use advanced grout focused equipment, professional grade cleaning solutions, and proven extraction methods to lift deep set grime from kitchens, bathrooms, entryways, lobbies, and high traffic corridors. The result is a cleaner, brighter appearance across tile floors and walls throughout Pittsburgh.
For homeowners and commercial property managers alike, MARBLELIFE® Groutmasters services deliver consistent results while helping remove embedded residue that can collect in grout and textured tile. After cleaning, your technician may recommend grout sealing or ColorSeal to help resist future staining, improve color uniformity, and simplify ongoing maintenance. We can also provide guidance on MARBLELIFE® tile and grout care products so day to day cleaning stays straightforward and surface safe. Backed by decades of experience and a trusted national reputation for stone and tile care, MARBLELIFE® Pittsburgh offers customized plans that protect your investment and keep hard surfaces looking their best year round.

Frequently Asked Questions
The service typically includes inspection, pre treatment of soiled areas, professional tile and grout cleaning with specialized tools, and controlled extraction to remove loosened soil and residues. Your technician will review results with you and can discuss sealing or ColorSeal options when appropriate for your surface and use pattern.
If grout looks dark, blotchy, or stained but is still intact and not missing or crumbling, cleaning is usually the first step. When joints are cracked, hollow, or physically missing, repair may be required. MARBLELIFE Pittsburgh can evaluate your floor or walls and recommend whether cleaning alone, cleaning plus sealing, or cleaning with localized repair is the best approach.
Yes, the process is designed for use on common ceramic and porcelain tile and is compatible with most grout colors when performed by trained technicians. MARBLELIFE uses carefully selected cleaners and controlled equipment settings to target soil and residues while respecting the tile surface and grout composition. Your technician will review any sensitive areas before work begins.
Timing depends on the size, layout, and condition of the area, but many residential kitchen or bath projects are completed within a few hours. Larger commercial lobbies, corridors, or restrooms can be scheduled in phases to reduce disruption and to coordinate with business hours so you remain open and functional while work is completed.
Floors can usually be walked on soon after cleaning once the surface is dry to the touch, often within a short period using normal household traffic with clean shoes. If a penetrating sealer or ColorSeal is applied after cleaning, your technician will provide specific cure time guidance so that the protective treatment develops properly before heavy use resumes.
Professional cleaning can remove many organic residues, surface mildew, and the grime that can trap odors in grout joints and textured tile. In wet areas such as showers, MARBLELIFE may recommend a combination of deep cleaning, appropriate cleaners, and in some cases sealing or ColorSeal to help resist future moisture related staining and make routine care more effective. Persistent odor or visible growth inside walls may require additional remediation beyond surface work.
Yes, sealing or ColorSeal is often recommended once grout is clean because unprotected grout can rapidly absorb new spills and soil. A clear penetrating sealer helps resist staining and makes everyday cleanup easier, while ColorSeal provides both a protective barrier and a uniform grout color that can refresh the entire floor without replacement. Your MARBLELIFE technician will explain which option best fits your surface, style preference, and traffic level.
Most homes benefit from professional tile and grout cleaning every twelve to twenty four months, while busy commercial kitchens, restrooms, or lobbies may need service more frequently due to heavier traffic and frequent spills. MARBLELIFE can help you design a maintenance plan that aligns cleaning frequency with actual use so you maintain appearance and protect your investment without overservicing.
Use a neutral or MARBLELIFE recommended cleaner that is safe for grout and stone, avoid acidic or harsh products that can strip sealers, and mop with clean water, changing the solution often so soil is lifted away instead of pushed into grout lines. Promptly wiping spills, sweeping dry grit, and using entry mats in traffic paths will also help your floors stay cleaner between professional services.
MARBLELIFE Pittsburgh serves the greater Pittsburgh region and nearby communities, providing tile and grout cleaning along with a full range of stone and hard surface restoration services. Posted on Ludwig ReimmerTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I hired MARBLELIFE Pittsburgh for a quartz kitchen sink recut and was extremely pleased. Bob did exceptional work, surpassing what my wife and I expected. Communication was timely, and the quoted price matched the final cost. Highly recommend their reliable, professional service—definitely a 5+ star experience!Posted on wade saucierTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Pittsburgh Marblelife team was excellent. Restored an old 84 year old stone floor that had some water damage to the stones. Very happy with the results. At first we were going to place a wall to wall rug in the room. But after the restoration we decided to keep the floor exposed due to the fine restoration work. Thank you!Posted on Kalena ThomhaveTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I had a great experience with MARBLELIFE and Bob, and wholeheartedly recommend them. Bob and his team cleaned, honed, and sealed my kitchen countertops, and they look so beautiful. I’m not usually a review writer, but I have also never experienced being in love with kitchen counters. My partner and I are doing a low-cost “remodel” of our kitchen—you know, new paint job, new lighting fixtures, and other changes that don’t mean gutting and renovating and tens of thousands of dollars. Our granite countertops were perfectly useable, but I didn’t really like them. However, I knew replacing them would not only be wasteful, but also super expensive. I did some research, and I thought that getting them honed to a matte finish would make them fit the style of the kitchen better. Before I talked to Bob at MARBLELIFE, I talked to a couple other fabricators who weren’t interested in tackling our counters. And I think I get why—it would not only be a hard project, but matte counters are more finicky, so customers might not be pleased with the additional care needed. But Bob was totally open to honing our countertops! He was very communicative—we talked mostly by text, which is nice for millennials and also because I could easily pull up our conversation if I forgot details of something he said, and we also connected over the phone. Pricing was clear and reasonable with no surprises. Bob and his team completed the job quickly and even left us some sealant for the next time the counters need it. AND THEY LOOK SO GOOD! This review is getting too long, but let me just say if you’re thinking about a matte finish: the colors of the stone are so much richer and it’s also so clear the counters are made of NATURAL STONE. Yes we need to be better about taking care of it, but I don’t mind. If I knew more about granite and stone I know I could say more about how professional Bob was, but I can say that it is clear he’s both an expert and a good and reliable businessperson. If and when we have any other issues with stone or tile, I know who we will be calling!Posted on Marianne DeanTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Kristen and Bob were very responsive, timely and professional. They repaired a large scratch in my corian countertop, replaced the caulking and repaired a chip in my ceramic tile floor. Their work was incredible. The Corian and the ceramic tile look like the day I bought them. I highly recommend Marblelife!Posted on Rocky MedureTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Bob and his team restored our slate floor and did an absolutely amazing job. Their care and effort shine through. Huge thanks to them for excellent customer service and thoughtfulness.Posted on Jane PTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Superb workmanship and excellent service! We have a 20-yr old travertine bathroom and shower that had never been professionally cleaned before. Bob and his team were able to clean/sand away etching and stains from the counter and shower entry and deep clean the shower, removing soap scum and mildew. It looks as good as it did 20 years ago! Bob also cleaned and sealed our granite kitchen counter. We had a sink that was installed without proper supports and we have dealt with leaks along the rim for years. Because Bob has experience with stone installation, he was able to reinstall the sink with proper supports - it has never been more secure. Throughout the process, Bob consults you to make sure you are happy with what they are doing and will adjust as needed. We couldn't be happier with the service and will use Bob on a regular basis for deep cleaning and resealing.Posted on Jim HarpsterTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Our countertop was damaged by the stove installers. Bob and his wife came to the rescue and made our countertop look like it as brand new! He was fast, clean and efficient!Posted on innocentrage1Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I had a stress fracture crack in my quartz countertop and Bob came out and looked at it and told me because it was quartz, a man made stone, he could glue it back together but it was highly possible that in a year or two it may crack again and suggested a new countertop may be the better option. Bob has many years experience in this business and had a list of contacts he provided me. I contacted one of those contacts and got a beautiful new countertop that was way better than the crafmanship of my old countertops done by a chain retail store. Even though Bob did not get my business this time I will be using him in the future for any services with my new countertops. I admire him for helping me and making suggestions even though it didn't make him a profit. A lot of companies would of just taken my money with a quick glue fix and I would have run into the same problem later down the road.Posted on John BaronTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Bob and his team were fantastic. They went out of their way to get me out of a situation concerning a marble mosaic floor and exceeded all my expectations. Can’t thank them enough.Posted on Rob RikerTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. These guys really over-delivered! We understood that the 136 yrs of baked-on soot were likely to be impossible to clean completely, and confirmed with several quotes. But they gave it a ton of time and attention and got it much further than we dared hope. A good bit of structural repair and an exceptional attention to detail rounded out a great project. They were reliable schedulers and good communicators, both rare to find in in-home contractors. Looking forward to having them back to help with more fireplaces. One warning: for work like this with structural repair it would be good to schedule when windows can be open, as their epoxy has a powerful odor! Was eager to leave this review & share our enthusiasm.Load more
